Abstract

To the beginning of the 3rd Hijri century, Farsi poetry was just manifested in some styles of Arabic prosody with simple, primary contents. Later, being int1uenced by the rich, solid Arabic poetry, Iranian poets developed Farsi poetry to such an extent that sometimes they even generated novel points with no similarity in Arabic poetry. Now, the question is that whether Arabic poetry has been influenced by such Farsi one. We have found some Arabic poems which are explicitly declared as translation of Farsi ones and have cited in this essay some of them whose Farsi equivalents are found.
