'Abd al-'_lm, an outstanding Hasanid-Alavid figure of the 2nd-3rd Hijri centuries who despite his own descent followed his Hosaynid cousins, i.e:-, Shi'a Imams and thus suffered a lot from caliphs and their agents which led to making him live in secret and running from one city to another, arrived in Ray finally where he tried to establish relationship with Shiites and where he was buried when passed away. His life and his distinguished charactristics are discussed in this essay.
