The companions of the holy prophet, the followers and Muslim scholars unanimously assert that the verse of purification cocerns the five holy ones
(privileged ones of the cloak). Even Omm-e-Salama and Aisha who witnessed revelation of the verse, and wished to be concerned, have emphasized its
confinemt to the five holy ones; nevertheles, some scholars have attempted to confine the verse to the prophet's wives, or at least take them into
considerartion along with the five holy ones. some others have extended the implication and have considered all the prophet's family as his household.
There is no doubt that their independent judgement which is against the authenticated texts and traditions is invalid. The context of the verse implies
the divine will to remove impurities from househod of the holy prophet.
