To study and report briefly the important changes taking place in Harat during the six hundred year period, from the Tahired to Teimourid reigns, is the aim of this article.
The author brings to the reader'view a picture of Hirat which was considered an important and remarkable culture city in those days and takes him for a tour of the city's schools, schools for
adults and the libraries which had been quite flouishing ; and acquaints him with the men of learning, poets and renowned artists who stood firm sa mountains continued and ever - lasting
waves of injuries, destruetions and massacres and kept burning the torch of Islamic culture and civilization.
