Abstract

This paper of comparative grammar deals with the issue of transitivity of the verb in Farsi and Arabic. It begins by the cases of non-coordination in the two languages. Indeed, some transitive verbs in Arabic are intransitive in Farsi, and vice versa. Examples are displayed and commented at length. Then, the various cases of conformity are discussed (i.e. verbs which are both transitive or intransitive in Farsi and Arabic).
